I don’t have status so am paying out of pocket for a hotel in Taipei. My husband and I will be there mid-October. I’m debating between Aloft Zhongshan (large King) and Doubletree Hilton (King) and have included breakfast. I’m aware that Doubletree doesn’t have an open buffet which is one reason I’m not as keen on it. But also wonder about the pros/cons of the location of each.
Any reasons not to go with one or the other? I’m paying close enough to the same amount for each that the cost is not a dealbreaker.
don't know about Doubletree, but have stayed at Aloft ZS many times in the past. Location is conveniently near a subway exit. There is plenty of food options nearby as well. The rooms run a bit on the small size but should be adequate. I do recommend this hotel (though redemption rate has gone through the roof).
