Egypt layover in light of recent developments in the area

I am flying BOM-CAI-JFK via Egypt Air in J on August 4th. The layover time in CAI is 21 hours and I was planning to go do some local sightseeing with a tour guide.

In light of the recent developments in the area, i am concerned about the risk of getting stuck in BOM or CAI due to flight cancellations given Egypt's proximity to the area. Looking at Flightaware, Egypt Air's BOM-CAI route does not fly over Israel or Lebanon.

Is there a possibility flights get cancelled or will they just get rerouted to avoid the conflict area? I am trying to determine if it makes sense to reroute myself proactively.
