My strategy would be to get up very early on the day of departure, stay up and hopefully by 8pm IAH time you might be ready for a sleep.

That's what I used to do when going to the West coast USA as I liked the early flights back. It could also be my age on the wrong side of 50 and liking early nights as well as an afternoon nap
Posting back a bit later than planned. There was an aircraft change a couple of days out from a 77H to a 77M, and I ended up with 14K when check-in opened. I accidentally issued a boarding pass just after T-24, even though I intended not to. Called BAEC, and they were able to offload me so that I could go through OLCI again. Ultimately, it was a very busy flight, and nothing else opened up further forward, so I kept 14K.Having not flown CS or CW for many years, first impressions on boarding were impressive. I thought the suites and cabin overall looked really smart. Practically, I found the footwell to be quite tight and not very comfortable for sleeping on my side - I managed around 3 hours of sleep overall. A downside to being just a few rows forward of WTP was that the lights were turned on earlier in that cabin, which illuminated the rear part of the Club cabin a bit too early.

Both meals were disappointing, and the service wasn't great. It wasn't very proactive, and the times I asked for another drink or dessert (which wasn't offered after the main meal), it felt as though I was an inconvenience.

This was a one-way booking, and I returned to IAH with KLM, which made for an interesting comparison. The quality and quantity of the meals - and service overall - in KL's world business class was much better (admittedly a day flight vs. a night flight), although BA's hard product was definitely the better of the two.
