I clicked on the link AA sent (of course) and it was for a few options in CLT. They were marked “Premium” with a blue banner at the top. They are flying on paid main cabin fares that I paid to upgrade to F for ToD (literally).

They have no status and all of this seems to almost border on overcompensating on the part of AA. That said, we’ll take it. I’ll dismiss the hotel offer once I’m confident they’ll make the connection in CLT.
any flight out of ALB is first class …
