Bumping this thread. I booked 2 stays at Umana Bali at 90K points/night (plus 5th night free). The rates have now dropped to 85K/night so rebooking both reservations would save me 40K points. However, I currently don't have enough points to first rebook and then cancel. Are there any risk-free alternatives? (even 90K is a great deal so I don't want to play games).
You don't need to cancel and rebook. Just go in to your reservation online (I find that it's easier on the website than the app). Next to the dates you will see a button "Edit Stay". Here you can modify the booking. All of the available options will be shown, so just keep the dates the same and look at the choices for rooms using points. If it is cheaper just click on it and your new points price will be applied.
