I was thinking of bidding for an upgrade when the time comes, but if there is no option to order a vegetarian meal, this will not work for us (we are both vegan or vegetarian).

On FI's website, it says that bidding result will be communicated to me "at least 25 hours prior to departure." However, it also says that for flights out of KEF, the result is "announced at least 3 hours prior to departure." I believe that 24 hours' notice is required to order a special meal, so that won't work for passengers who require a special meal on ex-KEF flights.

Does anybody know if the bid results ex-KEF will in fact be announced >25 hours prior or just >3 hours prior?

Also, is it possible to order a vegetarian meal with >=24 hours notice?
