It is absolutely idiotic for a hotel to not just honor benefits on a second room on points since there is literally zero functional difference when you have the ability to just GoH. Although the only time I have ever had a hotel not extend breakfast to my second room in hundreds and hundreds of Hyatt nights is 1 time at the PH Tokyo.
They get paid if you use the GOH. I've had to use it with a second room, it's fair, it costs them more money.
