FYI, Pearson (terminal 1) has just reconfigured the NEXUS/Global Entry area. It seems like parts of it are still being finalized, but the kiosks are now at the very far end of the hall. Essentially, you're now following the MPC lanes until you get to the end of the hall. After you stop at the touch-free kiosks, you'll find a customs officer with a tablet (instead of at a booth behind glass) who will clear you through. They told me this is their new process as of today.
