A quite repetitive question I'm seeing on r/hongkong is "I arrive in HKG at [late at night] and leave [AM]. What do I do?"

An alternative I've been advocating is to take something like the N11 bus to Central, have a bit of a stretch and come straight back. Sleeping on the bus beats trying to nab a bench in departures on a late arrival, and punches the "I've been into town" ticket even big if there's nothing worthwhile to do:
