1) Complete your application for the card and set up your Bank of America online account. Ensure you verify all required information and activate your card via the online platform. If you skip activation, you won't be able to proceed to step 3.
2) Once logged into your account, navigate to the Information and Services tab. Click on "Show" under Account Number to view your complete card details.
3) To book a flight, contact Alaska Airlines directly at 1-800-252-7522 (1-800-ALASKAAIR). Provide the agent with your card number, the billing address associated with the account, and the card's expiration date.
If you're nice, the agent will waive the $15 booking fee.
Hope this helps someone!
Let me see if I'm following. BoA
won't "issue the card online", but
will show you the full card number in your account, without expiration date and (I'm guessing) without the code?
So now you can activate the card (if you know how, because they haven't told you) , and use it with the calculated expiration date, as long as the seller doesn't ask for the code?
I suppose they could refuse to activate because they haven't officially "sent" you the card yet, but once it's gone out you could still do this before the card arrives in the mail.
