I redeemed F on Jal sfo-hnd but they changed planes and bumped me to J. They rebooked me on J but at new pt cost and taxes. They refunded pt difference based on new higher redemption and asked me to pay additional taxes. They claim it’s a new booking based on current rates. I think bs that Jal changed planes, bumped me to lower cabin and asked me to pay more pts and taxes. Is this your experience too? I think the right thing to do is honor redemption rate and taxes based on the time i booked, but new rates. Any thoughts?
