Rosewood Doha got pushed back to 2025 from what I hear. Not surprised as the market is really tough at the moment, few hotels are doing well.
No signs of the EDITION opening anytime soon (originally due to open in 2022) and the Andaz will finally open October of this year after a long delay.
Not hugely surprising - if the Dubai hotel market is mad, I don’t even know what to describe Doha as! Yes, GDP per capita is off the charts, but Doha is a city of fewer than 2.5 million people with limited tourism and yet all they need is an Aman, a Capella and a Peninsula and every high end hotel chain on the planet is basically represented there…
