Just in case many are still seeing this thread:

I have been an SQ, MI, and TR loyal customer and out of my 7 flights total with them, I have only included by middle name once, and that was on SQ. I have never included my middle name on SilkAir and Scoot because everytime I do so, my Krisflyer/MileagePlus miles won't credit. Nobody had a power trip about that, except on the last time I used the automated kiosk at Changi T1, the system did warn me the names do not match, and asked me to "agree" that I will continue with my passport name. Boarding pass still shows my first and last name only.

What happened after that? Nothing.
