I am Globalist too, and I have recently been moved up from BlackSmith to SilverSmith after 4 nights booked using gift cards. So your GoldSmith is probably not due to Globalist or at least it's not the only reason. For Silver/GoldSmith it might also be based on spend rather than night count.
