I tried several times to checkout my cart on the last day of the promo but just couldn't do so. Emailed hyatt requesting for assistance. Didn't get a response in time (promo ended) but few days later someone from consumer affairs reached out with details to repurchase the gift cards on the same terms. Completed the purchase and the award points and TQN posted. However, the base points for lifetime qualification was not posted and upon reaching out was told that when points are posted by the system they will appear as base points but when manually added they won't without offering any solution.
I purchased ~$10k worth of gift cards expecting that it would have counted towards lifetime qualification so obviously not happy with the situation. It's strange that points and TQN can be manually adjusted but not base points. How would the base points be corrected if there was an issue with the system posting? Any ideas on how to push this matter further?
