I'm probably reading into it too much, but just making sure it's not a country-to-country courtesy.
For reference, I am flying business class DFW-DOH, then 13 hour layover before DOH-VCE on separate tickets... staying at the Oryx hotel in between, so hopefully will not have to leave the airport. We will most likely not have checked bags. If any mods see this, I apologize- I created a new thread about this yesterday, not seeing this thread first.

This oneworld page from the QR NZ site that google finds is out of date (the address ends in "moved"). If you click on the oneworld logo at the top left of that same page it refreshes to the current version where the through checking info has been removed, as it has on every other country website. So unfortunately this is one example where google is not your friend.
But as has been mentioned here and in the other thread, if you aren't checking any luggage then this isn't a potential problem anyway. And even if you are there have been ways suggested to deal with this on arrival at DOH in the probably unlikely event that either onward boarding passes are not issued or the bags are not checked through at DFW. You have plenty of time at DOH so even a quick trip landside.and back to recheck bags if necessary is not going to rob you of a good night's sleep.
