OP - I honestly would LOVE to have something like this occur -- but in reality it's not going to happen. I had well over 2MM miles on USAir and would have loved for UA to recognize my loyalty to *A by crediting it as BIS. The truth is that while UA does care about *A -- it cares much more about loyalty to UA directly than loyalty to *A partners. I believe your only hope is that UA someday purchases SAS -- which seems highly unlikely...
