Incorrect...the customer comes first. It was a simple question and I was not rude or demanding, and when I am paying over $1,500 for a first class seat, I have the right to ask that question. There are plenty of times I go with out or less to make sure my customers are taken care of. I have slept at different hotels miles away from my customers when I have them on a trip because the best hotel did not have enough rooms.
But this wasn't a catering error. If there had been NO crew meals on that flight, there still would have been provisioned X number of hot and X number of cold meals for first class. Crew meals are crew meals, not an entitlement for passengers.
