Be aware that the GH at East Village Deer Valley is on the opposite side of the resort from Park City. Everyone is going to have to drive or take a shuttle or bus from there into town. It's a nasty stretch of road when it's snowing. It'll take about 15 minutes to Main Street if the roads are dry and clear and you aren't on that road between 7am-11am and 2pm-7pm. That's our "rush hour". If you are on the road then, you may take a good 30 minutes. Snow-wise, that side of the mountains is low enough that the snow goes quickly. Hopefully DV is going to put a lot of snowmaking over there.
As a local, not looking forward to the East Village opening. We're crowded enough as it is in our little town! One thing - be sure to buy your lift tickets in advance!!! The time around Presidents' is a time that DV sells out.
Traffic clears by 10 most days and your not going to hit traffic coming into town from 2-7, that's outbound and mostly just on DV drive. Our little town is getting crowded but those rush hour times are a little exaggerated.
