to add insult to injury, if you sort by price, the regular main cabin prices are not in order either. So not only do you have to open each combination to see what the regular economy price is, you have to open them all to see which is really the cheapest.
At least before they combined the basic and main category, you could scan the main cabin prices and get an idea what the cheapest fare was.
More than ever, I'm using alternate sites where I can filter OUT basic economy to search for flights

how can AA not understand people do not want basic economy?
