Solo Trip Excellent

I'm nearing the end of my 5 night stay and I am loving the Hyatt! Cash rate of $200 and used SUA--nice modern King suite. Regency Club reminds me of the Diamond days (I mainly stay in U.S. Hyatts). No option to eat breakfast at the restaurant per the sheet they gave me. I'm not a breakfast person, but to me RC is more than plentiful and tasty. Evening canapes are fine, too. Last night I ate at Rulfo here at the Hyatt (delicious flank steak), because the day prior I was being adventurous trying to eat local when I was out and about. Paid for that the next morning, so I'm very cautious now. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. Concierge got my ticket for the Ballet de Folklorico, same price as if I went and bought it at the box office. Beautiful Art Deco theatre, Palacio de Bellas Arte, Tiffany stained glass "curtain", the show was fantastic. Used the HSBC ATM here to get some pesos, surprised the fee wasn't exorbitant ($4 USD). I take Uber everywhere typically $5-$7 even though the traffic is horrendous and it sometimes takes 20-40 minutes. Couldn't find Uber at MEX so I did the taxi thing, $24; didn't think I'd survive that ride to even make it to the Hyatt! Everywhere I've been feels safe, policia everywhere. I have not seen a blue sky, unbelievably thick haze--smog they say. In fact yesterday (I read today) was a stay inside day bc of air pollution. Temp says 85 degrees, but feels like 95. Never have I drank so much water. Maybe I'll venture out for dinner tonight somewhere close to the Hyatt.
