Eh, I never claimed you are making this up, or that you don't know what you are. doing. OTOH, it's only now that you are beginning to clarify.
But if indeed they do not follow the terms and conditions that they publicize, it's plain and simple that their system is wrong, period.
In that case, if these agents won't escalate, first step should be with Customer Solutions.
Next, with Amex. This is a credit card benefit. Terms nd conditions surely were negotiated with them.
