Reviving this thread as I haven't found any other posts lately.

Does anyone know if I book an AS mileage award for AA metal and put in my AA FF#, will this count as a segment?

Also, does anyone know where to find the segment counter on AA? Seems it is gone in the Promotions section of AA.
