1. I’ve noticed the QF AU-Asia delays. I have another friend joining me in SGN (SYD-(QF)SIN-(VN)SGN) and his 3 hour connection is now looking thin. Separate tix so he’s self insuring.

2. Even if you can get through check in and interline baggage QF Award -> QR revenue interlining question , I don’t think that imposes an obligation on QF to protect you if delay.

Through check in, interline baggage and 735d protection CX WILL interline to other oneworld airlines if travelling on separate PNRs are three separate benefits. If not one booking, QF is not obligated to provide the third even after it has conceded the first two (not collateral).
