Thanks for this. When we boarded the flight in Gdansk we spoke to attendant who was very nice to us. My wife still had her digital boarding pass on a screen shot which proved she had a business class fare. She did not move my wife to the business class section (5 out of 8 seats spare) but she did supply my wife and I the business meal box. She also took notes and submitted another “complaint”. Miles and XP’s already posted and it’s as expected, 5 for an economy seat but as you suggest, we will phone.
It was a bit strange when we went to the customer care reps in the Non Schengen lounge though. The kiosks for booking a ticket for joining the queue to see them were switched off so just had to go up and speak to them via an improvised queue. The man in charge, when hearing my wife’s situation did not believe she had a business class ticket so he told me to go and get a copy of her original booking. I did this and showed him and he claimed she never got her business class seat as all seats were full - told him that was not correct as only 3 out of 8 being used. Asked him if he could perhaps get my wife in her business class seat on our last flight to Aberdeen but he said no as there were no business class seats on it. Showed him the app on my iPad which was giving me an option to purchase an upgrade to business on this flight. He was getting quite heated up so one of the girls intervened and asked me to sit with her.
She looked at the info/tickets etc and apologised and said she would get my wife a business class seat on flight. First guy came over again and spoke to girl in Dutch and then was exceedingly apologetic to me and said he never realised there were business class seats on flight to Aberdeen which I found very strange - perhaps he had a very stressful day with all the cancellations.
Now away to complete our task of walking all the terminals to get the steps up - done the Schengen B, C and D terminals at a total of 5,027 steps and 2.36 miles (according to google fit app)
