Welcome to flyertalk,
There used to be a bus from T1 to T3 for JAL ( from airside at T1 after leaving the domestic aircraft) so this was stopped.
Apart from the landside bus if you show your boarding pass/passport at the info desk landside you can get a transit pass for the train or monorail to T3.
At T3 you will have to go through security and immigration ( was quick in the evening)

I'm in a similar position to the OP, except my itinerary is all on JAL, on a business class award issued by QF (but I see that JAL sells the same itinerary on their website): HIJ 1645 – 1815 HND 1930 – 0610 SYD
So only 1h 15 to connect at HND, which does seem tight. The JAL site says this:
https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/inter/airport/hnd/transit/
When it says bus gates 91 and 30 are "inside the building" does it mean they are inside security, as referred to in this post? We'd be travelling cabin baggage only, so through-checking bags isn't a problem, and I don't care about lounge time at HND, but I am keen to understand just how tight the connection really is. Avoiding security would help a little.
