We have had two great upgrades. The first was at the HWV for a 100K ALON. When we checked in, we were scheduled to get a room at the Lagoon Tower - First Floor. When I requested an upgrade (our anniversery), the desk clerk looked, and looked, and finally came up with a room in the Ocean Tower - 6th Floor - with a view of the golf course, mountains, and a little bit of the ocean. The only problem was the room had two double beds. Not a real problem. We also got lounge access. Got the Kohala shampoos, etc. at least twice a day (we almost filled up a drawer) Had a great time!

The second was last year at Quebec City. We were given a Jr. Suite and had Lounge Access. All this for a low low rate. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Food was great, and all of the drinks were free. Did not see anyone abusing this, which was great.

The third best was at the San Francisco where we were upgraded to a room with Lounge Access. Staff were outstanding!
