Just a quick update to my previous note upthread. About 6 weeks after I officially crossed the 1MM threshold I was taking a flight to YVR for some meetings. While in line to board I heard my name called and went to the desk. One of the YYZ concierge team was there and introduced herself to me. She congratulated me on the accomplishment and said she was there to escort me onboard prior to regular boarding. As we entered the plane, a number of the crew also congratulated me and there was a sign on my monitor noting the event. During dinner a few hours later, the in charge brought me a card which was signed by a number of the YYZ Concierge team with detailed comments, not just signatures. The icing on the cake was when I was walking down the ramp in YVR, 2 members of the YVR Concierge team were waiting with my name on a sign. They also had a card for me signed by their team members and a very nice origami bird enclosed ! Very thoughtful of all involved and did really make my day.
Today I received my MM box via Fedex (as others have well described above). The Fedex driver was super curious (signature was required) as what it was, as it had a big AC logo on it and tamper proof tape. I spent the next 10 minutes trying to explain and answer his many questions.
As of today, no email notice however - not that it really matters at this point. Left my new card in the envelope with Michael's note as it makes a nice piece in the office with the plane (never use the card anyway). Was more excited about the new tags
