I just completed a stay at the Mercure Nice Centre Grimaud (France) and I was supposed to hit Platinum on a Thursday during that stay (long story but it was over 2 weeks split over several bookings). I asked them to enter the status points right away because i would be hitting Platinum, even though they would have 7 days.
Reception informed me that the status points are automatically updated by the Accor global system and it does not depend on them entering the points.
So I've hit Platinum but it has not yet reflected on a Friday, and I was hoping to use weekend breakfast benefits.
Is there anything to do here, like ask the current property to honor the Platinum benefits pending update of the system?
