I think you will get your best response, if anybody knows, as to how BA will deal with this in the BA forum. People have been changing away from wetlease flights operated by others (and now DAT) for BA for sometime. The DAT thread in the BA forum has some people reporting that their change from the DAT operated flight is confirmed while on the phone with the agent (maybe you can ask in that thread if people are being issued new ticket numbers?).

But if earning at the old rates is very important then I wouldn’t chance it.
