A reval would probably work in your favour, if it can be done, as the tkt date of issue would still be July, whereas what would happen with Avios earnings after a reissue is an unknown at this point. Apologies for reactivating this old thread. I did ask this in another thread but got no firm answer. Do we know yet what happens in this case? I want to change away from a (now) DAT operated flight booked before October 18th, 2023. BA told me it's possible but the ticket would be sent to the back office. They could not tell me if this would be revalidation or reissue. Failing that, CE is available (and empty) on the DAT service, so an alternative might be to UUA. Same question there? has anybody done this?
