I wouldn’t call it dire (there are many more lounges that serve BA flights that deserve that term more than SEA). Although small it has windows and the food won’t be picked over that much at the time OP will be visiting. The OP could take the transfer train from the south loop to the north loop and visit the AS N lounge if he wants to have some excellent soup and beer.

Ah, the QR flight departs a bit earlier in the summer months. I would have sworn it was 3:30pm, but I just checked my itinerary and it's 4:30pm, so not as bad as I thought for the BA lounge. I'll definitely be going to the AS N lounge first though.

I'm still kicking myself for not thinking of tagging SEA-LAX onto my ticket though, I had one extra segment open that I could have used (DONE5), I've got so much downtime there with nothing to do really. I'm assuming my luggage will be checked through to DOH, but I'm not keen on carrying my backpack with my PC around all day in the city (b/c of both weight and crime) and the luggage storage at SEA is pretty offensively priced. I'm going to see how easy it is to get to the Museum of Flight on public transportation, that's one place I haven't been there that is interesting.
