LOL what a joke. This is more of a rant than anything. I submitted a BRG claim for a hotel in Australia. Qantas was selling the same room for the same dates, with breakfast, with a bottle of wine included, and free cancellation at a lower price than Hilton's advanced purchase nonrefundable rate.
The Hilton reps gave a number of excuses, including but not limited to:
1. Qantas requires a membership to book - false, I could continue as a guest to the final payment step.
2. Could not verify rate - false, the rate was and is still available now.
3. The usual excuses of how the rates/cancellation terms don't match.
But the most ridiculous excuse was:
Their rate comes with breakfast and a bottle of wine and ours simply comes with breakfast. It is not a match.
I'm done lol. Gonna stop wasting time on Hilton and just stay with Marriotts now.
