Thanks! I didn't realize that. I have been crediting to AA lately. I knew AA loyalty points were based on ticket cost when flying BA, but didn't know it worked the other way around since the Avios calculator still displays an Avios amount.

Well, if you're going to credit this to Alaska, then I guess pick the longer routing, otherwise it doesn't matter.
