Resy Credits: Experiences and strategy (Amex personal Plat/Gold plus Delta cards)

Mods: Apologies if this is better suited from the Delta forum, but this is a benefit which is solely about the card and nothing to do with flying so I figured it was better here?

There's been a lot of chatter in the general thread in the DL forum about the card changes, but it seems like the Resy credits have been particularly messy and frustrating.

Stated benefit is a monthly credit ($20 for the Reserve card, $10 for the Platinum) for restaurants "registered on Resy.com". Lots of mixed experiences regarding what POS actually qualify, does Toast work, can you buy GC, etc. It seems like there isn't a ton of obvious consensus yet.

To pull a few data points from here: DL Reserve and Plat Amex AFs Increasing by $100/year
  • I purchased GC and takeout in two transactions. Both posted via Toast (I think the dining room doesn't use Toast?), no credit.
  • rice4u purchased GC online (but not with a Toast POS?), success
  • daslax purchased via Toast, no credit
  • AntimonyER purchased GC online via Toast, success

It is sounding like this might be per-POS/per-restaurant and maybe we want to identify places in major markets that will credit GC online...
