Agreed. Objectively there’s little doubt that NLL offers have decreased in both frequency and generosity for some, if not most, people.
Activity on the linked (NLL) thread is down significantly. Whereas (for biz plat) 150K/$15k was commonplace, now 120K or 130K/$15K or 200K/$30K (with new biz checking) is now more common.
It’s also possible that those who received frequent NLL offers 1-3 years ago are now not receiving many offers and those who previously did not receive frequent offers are now receiving offers more frequently. Perhaps AmEx has an unknown number of offers, accepted or otherwise, that they’ve programmed for any given individual and upon reaching that limit the offers will dry up. If so, those who are currently receiving frequent offers might expect those offers to dry up in the not too distant future.
Undoubtedly, advice previously offered (no pun intended) on this thread remains wise and prudent:
strike while the iron is hot.
Take advantage of offers ASAP; any given (pop-up or online) offer might disappear at any time, recurrent offers could dry up at any time.
