I was asking on behalf of my dad because I wasn't sure what happens if one applies for the other product inside of 90 days. He was approved for the Biz Gold about a month ago. Then he got a Biz Plat NLL offer, applied today using a different business he has, and was not instantly approved. It said more information needed and to call. He calls and is told to submit a form 4506-C 2022.
When he told me about it, I thought that perhaps this happened because of the 90 day rule, thus I came here to ask the pros, but it seems that the application would have rather stated that it's a duplicate if it's not allowed within 90 days? And the fact that they're asking for more info means that there's a chance of getting an approval once the info is provided?
My applications went from pending/more information needed to declined inside an hour with the reason "duplicate application". For your father the pending seems to be triggered by another check and not the 90 day rule.
