Yes, that's a high frequency intercity route (similar to Beijing-Tianjin or Nanjing-Shanghai) and takes about an hour.
Or even Yantai and Shanghai?
The fastest train on that route takes 6.5 hours, which is definitely too long for me. Qingdao (which is kind of on the way from Yantai) to Shanghai trains are as fast as 4.5 hours.
