The AS neos are significantly different to the AA neos - AA has the Airbus Airspace fuselage whereas the AS ships have the classic fuselage which is more in line with the ceo. The main differences between the two being the number of exit doors and their positions along the length of the fuselage.
So if AA where to reconfigure the incoming AS ships, for the sake of fleet harmony their cabin config would probably resemble the A321K rather than the A321NX
