Well, I carry my own toothpaste, too. Oh the horror! And somehow it's never been a problem to carry a toothbrush, wet or not, in a small case designed for holding a toothbrush, along with many other bathroom essentials, like a hairbrush, deodorant, shaving razor, and the like. None of which I would expect to be provided by the hotel.
