That's fair. I would say Mauritius, for me, is less about the beaches and more about the hiking. I also figure why not since I'm quite literally in the area. Not sure if I'll hit it again after this trip. But totally agreed on giving Seychelles more time.

Looking at FS Mauritius at the end of a Safari.
Great minds! That's exactly what I'm doing. 2 weeks of safaris in Zimbabwe/Zambie, then Mauritius, then Seychelles. I definitely looked at FS Desroches, it's still in the back of my mind. But I've heard Praslin and La Digue are the crown jewels of Seychelles (excluding North Island which is way way way out of my budget) so am leaning that way.
