I've had hard times during hotel check-in explaining that I don't have any recent arrival stamps, as I use eChannel. I often have to stop them from looking through the passport where they're searching for the latest stamp.
"I don't have an entry stamp as I used electronic arrival procedures: I arrived in China on xxxx" in Chinese, they nod and acknowledge that, then proceed again to look for the most recent arrival stamp.
