Recently stayed one night here (on New Year's Eve) and booked a standard room for 43k (I used a 35k free night + 8k points). We booked this months in advance to get a pretty good point rate. We arrived around 4pm and were upgraded to a junior suite (with Titanium status). We asked about the higher suites and told that there was a corner room but it wasn't available for another hour. Understandable as they were pretty booked. We took the junior suite which had a great view and a separate tub in the bathroom (we heard this was special). We received a small bottle of wine and fruit/chocolate to celebrate New Years.

We chose breakfast as the welcome gift - it was in the restaurant and had a nice variety of hot dishes (both classic American and Mexican), fruits, yogurts, and baked items.

The lounge is open on the 5th floor. We have stayed here before in 2018 and it seems like they've renovated the lobby and lounge completely. It used to be on a higher floor and was a lot nicer. This lounge is small but had a good variety of snacks from 11am - 5pm and dinner 5pm - 9pm. Snacks had small sandwiches, cookies, cheese and crackers (we didn't try). Dinner had a few hot options, baked fish, pasta, chicken as well as fruit, salad. Dinner was pretty good. There is also free soft drinks, bottled water and house white/red wine. Service was excellent even though the lounge was average.

A couple of complaints:
1) When we arrived the door to a drawer attached to the desk was falling off the hinges and complete detached when I tried to close it. I called to the lobby and maintenance fixed it. Not a big deal but for a JW it's pretty poor.
2) There were a couple of pieces of trash in the room - a plastic wrapper, a candy wrapper around when we arrived. Overall it didn't feel super clean and pristine.
3) We were there for one night with confirmed 4pm checkout and thus didn't expect housekeeping. At 9:20am New Year Day, housekeeping came - rang the door bell and yelled housekeeping immediately before quickly trying to open the door. After a late night celebrating the countdown, this was terrible - we scrambled to get dressed and answered. I complained immediately and was offer 5k points. This really isn't anything but I accepted it. For me this never happened so early before and especially at a so called luxury option like a JW, they really should better time housekeeping to not disturb guests. Most importantly I was checking out so why would they even come.

Overall, not bad for what the point redemption but I certainly would not pay 70k or ~$800 (what looks to be fairly normal pricing for this hotel) for this.
