Most any proper sushi bar or "ryo-tei" (traditional Japanese food restaurant) in Japan will serve some of the most amazing seafood in various preparations, from raw to braised to grilled. Any sushi bar around Tsukiji Fish market in Tokyo will have sublime sushi and sashimi for reasonable prices. Elsewhere, the pricing can get scary!!

A nice lobster boil-up in Newfoundland or in New England is also quite remarkable. The Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine had a lovely restaurant with great seafood.

Le Bernardin in New York has some lovely seafood preparations as does Nobu New York.

Goumard in Paris served some of the most succulent langoustines I have ever had......
