Why does TG put aircraft with obviously regional seats on such a long flight? I guess the answer has been mentioned a thousand times on this forum....

And to make things worse, I can't even manage the booking on the TG website, as it requires me to edit my personal details, but when I try it tells me that I can't edit because my title is missing (UA does not provide title). What a hopeless system. However, I was able to select seats etc using the SAS website.
Well, you could have elected to fly another carrier I suppose if these factors bother you so much…

Yes, unless making a booking through THAI then many will agree that the MMB functionality leaves quite a lot to be desired. But a phone call usually resolves those small ‘niggles’ quickly.

To be fair the 788 has been used long haul by TG since it came into service, and has had been to BNE, AKL, MUC and so on. Sure, it is a lesser product than on TG’s 77W, 359 and 789. But the 788 J seat is much better than the 772ER J product with the ‘angle flat’ seats, which are indeed the ‘crappiest’ J seat.
