Q: Which routes have full flat seats in Royal Silk?
A: Only the Airbus A380-800, A350-900, Boeing 777-300ER, 787-8 and 787-9 feature full flat seats in Royal Silk. The A380 is used on the following routes: LHR, CDG, FRA, HKG, KIX and NRT.
The B777-300ER regularly serves these destinations: OSL, CPH, ARN, FRA, BRU, ZRH, VIE, SIN, PVG, PEK, MEL and BNE. It also regularly flies domestic runs to HKT and CNX.
Q: Which routes get the new 747 suites?
A: Any route which is scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 747 might see the new suites, but some routes are more likely to get them (but not guaranteed). These routes are: MUC, HKG, HND and SYD. Flights to HKT are often operated by the them, although these flights are without First class service.
Q: What are the chances of ending up on one of the old Boeing 747s with recliner seats in Royal First and Silk?
A: 0 %. All Boeing 747s have been converted and feature full flat seats in Royal First and angle flat seats in Royal Silk. Every seat in Economy also features a PTV with AVOD and AC power (every two seats).
Q: To which destinations do TG offer Royal First?

How to view or change seats
I booked my flights through United and did not get a biz seat assigned and wanted to change my other flight's seats in econ. Calling Thai is futile. I emailed them and got an instant reply that I was now able to assign my seat (if i can find the map). It is buried:

On the last 2 flights to Narita this year we travelled in 1A and 2A, with family in row 2 middle seats on one flight. We prefer to sit next to the window. Row 2 middle seats may be a little more noisy than row 1, but row 1 is nearer the toilet. Personal preference.

Firstly, let me apologise for not updating the original post since 2017(!) I cannot believe it has been that long!
I've not been up-to-date on TG fleet news for while so it took me quite some time to get up to speed with the current situation, especially since the Thai website does not show the correct information for all aircrafts and information about some configurations is limited.
I've tried my best to update the original post, but please let me know if any of the information is incorrect. Although TG's fleet has become more simplified after the pandemic (going down from 7 aircraft types to "just" 5) it is still quite a mess. I.e TG offers 8 different business class products, which is crazy considering they only have a fleet of 50 long/medium haul aircrafts... I guess that is what you get when morons are running the company smh... Anyways, Tokyoite I would really appreciate if you could update the wiki sticky with the new information!
