Apologies for my poorly worded response, the new configuration is not dependent on the NPS. It’s just that the first aircraft to be in the new configuration will be the next A359s to be delivered to Delta in 2024; all 16 new deliveries will be the NPS version. So the existing A359s and A35Ls can all be converted to this new high-J version.
