CX website/app technical issues, fare pricing discrepancy
Evening all,
Attempting to book a return flight with CX LHR-BKK from 31/12-16/01. However, I have noticed some strange discrepancies with flight availability and pricing, and was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?
- On both app and website (UK)- There is availability showing for my preferred outbound journey (CX238, CX701), however, pricing is varying depending on the device (i.e. £784 return on website, yet £804 return on the app). Both with same departure dates (31st Dec) and both in same fare and cabin class.
- On the return (16th Jan), it gets more strange still: On the website, 6 of 8 flight options in Y showing no availability - including my preferred journey (CX674, CX255), with availability only on CX614, CX255 or CX750, CX255). However, on the app, the results are very different for the same day: Availability shows for CX674/CX255, amongst 5 other flight combinations. Think I will call them now to enquire, as it feels confusing with different information being shown for the exact same dates/fare.
- Just as a side note- does anyone know if the A350 does any of the overnight flights to LHR anymore? CX251/255 offer the best times as they're both overnight, allowing for more sleep, but currently displaying as 77W. (Miss the LGW flight which always offered the A350 overnight).
