I just spent the past few hours reading this thread from start to finish to try and get clarification on this very point. My statement closes in mid December and that bill is due in January 2024. All of my purchases after this date (December 17th on) will appear on my January statement. Is it true that the balance of purchases made in December 2023 will count towards my 2023 total, or because they post in 2024, will count towards 2024 ??

Just received the card 2 months ago so not trying to hit $50K spend this year but curious to know if end of year spending spree will help me out for 2024.

Appreciate any insight.
