Good to read. Like others I was balking at $700/night for a hotel anywhere, let alone San Diego in January.

Confusing. If you’re attending the conference you should be able to book the conference hotel. Does it require booking via a specific portal? Availability for only certain attendees? “Crashing” the conference? Something else?

Wow, pretty rare, OP should be pleased at least that the hotel reached out, including email and phone #.

Hopefully you’ll view 30k points as “a bunch of points”.

I stayed there once, several years ago and the hotel was very generous (comped 1 night, 40K points) after a water problem (? no water in one tower) required my frantically moving from one tower to the other just prior to showering for dinner before my second night of a 2 night stay. (Never did get EQN for that comped night .)

Curious, please tell us more about the new ownership; who, what $$, when. Thank you.
